Preparatory Education

Disha has undertaken to prepare the little girls of the underprivileged sections for admission to regular schools. These girls are used as housemaids by their parents to raise their siblings, cook, wash and clean the hutment while the parents are away working as household help, gardeners, labourers or similar services. Disha helps enlighten these girls' futures by providing them with the gift of education. 

Hygiene kits are provided to them containing soap, oil, shampoo, toothbrush, paste, etc., to inculcate a habit of cleanliness.

The parents of the girls are counselled to make them accessible for admission to school after the early preparatory education at Disha Centre. Disha helps in admission to a nearby school by getting their bank account opened, Aadhaar or Affidavits prepared and other documentation.
The girls are given something to eat every day when they attend classes.
